Nursery Activity Ideas - Leaf Laminate Pictures

This is suitable for older children as an autumn activity.

Discuss the signs of autumn with the children, then go outside to watch the leaves falling from the trees. Children can find and collect a selection of fallen leaves to use for their pictures. Give the children a opened laminating sheet, the children can arrange their leaves onto the sheet and once completed, the sheets can be laminated to seal the collage.

I have just found your website (new to computing). I am a childminder and love all the ideas. I am known to do unusual things with the children but to have new ideas is lovely. Thank you. Love this site.

Brilliant idea. Have just purchased a laminator and although we have visited a forest and collected leaves to paint, I never thought of laminating them. Really happy with all the ideas.

I like this idea I have tried it with sticky contact film but this is much easier.

We found that a sprinkling of gold/copper glitter onto the leaves before they go into the laminator gives it that bit of extra sparkle . We hang our pictures up at the windows so that the light can shine through . It shows the true colours of Autumn leaves.
