Nursery Activity Ideas - Leaf Printing Pictures

This fun creative autumn activity is suitable for children over the age of two.

You will need:

• Leaves
• Paint
• Paint brushes
• Plain paper

Activity:

Take the children into the garden to collect some leaves. Pour a range of autumn coloured paints such as browns, reds and oranges into trays, and place the collected leaves into the middle of the table. The children can then choose their leaves and paint one side of the leaf in their chosen colour. Next press the painted side of the leaf onto the paper. The children’s paintings can then be displayed as part of a large autumn wall display.
