Nursery Activity Ideas - Apple Tree Birthday Chart
A bright and fun way to display childrens birthdays.
You will need:
- Large pieces of paper
- Brown paint or collage material
- Green paint or collage material
- Red paint
Activity:
Tape together the large pieces of paper and on to it draw an outline of a tree. Using either paint or collage material the children can decorate the tree. Once it has dried attach the tree to the wall. Then on another piece of paper draw outline shapes of apples and cut them out, and let the children paint their own red apples. Once all the apples have dried write the childrens names and birthdays onto them. A picture of the childs face can also be attached to their apple, before placing them on the tree.
If you are completing this activity with older children you can discuss with them where apples and other foods come from, extending their knowledge and understanding in this area.
