Nursery Activity Ideas - Make A 3D Caterpillar

An activity to make accordion caterpillars, suitable for older children. This can also be used as an activity for the story “the hungry caterpillar”.

Cut two long strips of green paper and glue two ends together to form an L shape. One the glue has dried begin to fold the paper one over the other to make an accordion. Once the strips have been folded, glue the end together. Once all the glue has dried stretch out the caterpillar, draw a face onto the one end, and attach small black strips of paper, or thin pipe cleaners as antennas.
