Nursery Activity Ideas - Making 3D Christmas Trees

All children will enjoy decorating their trees, although young children will be unable to assemble the trees themselves.

Using white card cut out two christmas trees of the same size, the children can paint the trees green and decorate with a choice of coloured glitter and sequins. Once the trees have dried turn over and decorate the other sides. When completed, cut a line up the middle of one tree from the bottom to the centre, then cut a line on the other tree again in the middle from the top to the centre, and slot the two trees together. Using a needle and coloured cotton, thread through the top of the tree and secure, this can be used to hang the trees from the ceiling to make a colourful, sparkly christmas display.
