Nursery Activity Ideas - Christmas Sponge Painting Pictures
This is a fun festive activity where all children can create their own festive designs.
You will need:
- A variety of paints
- Christmas sponges
- Large paper
Activity
Pour the paints onto plates or trays, then give the children a choice of colours and sponges. Allow the children to dip the sponges in the paint and then press onto their paper.
The children’s festive creations can be displayed on their own, or combined to make one large group display.
Whilst completing this activity older children can become more familiar with colours and shapes.

This is a really nice activity, it is not to much for the children, its also nice as its more of a child led activity with them having a choice of how they want their own picture to look, the choice of sponges and colours, also with the importance of covering the areas of development this is being done in a fun way for the children!
Great! will have to use this one with the babies within my setting!
