Nursery Activity Ideas - Making A Hand Print Garland Or Wreath
This christmas activity can be completed with all nursery age children, to make bright decorative christmas garlands or wreaths.
You will need:
- Green paper or green paint
- Red paint
- Glue or blu-tac
Activity:
Draw around the childrens’ hands onto the green paper, alternatively, using the green paint allow the children to paint their hands and print them onto the paper. Cut out the childrens hand prints and glue them together with the fingers pointing outwards to form a circular wreath or long garland shape. This can also be attached to large wall displays.
Using the red paint children can place finger prints for berries on their garlands. If children wish they could also decorate their work with other items such as glitter, tinsel or small pom poms.
