Nursery Activity Ideas - Sparkling Christmas Laminated Pictures

All children can enjoy creating their own sparkly christmas pictures, however children under the age of two will need more assistance.

You will need:

• A Laminator
• Laminating pouches
• Glitter
• Christmas confetti

Activity:

Give each child an open laminating pouch and a choice of glitters and christmas confetti. The children can sprinkle the glitter onto the open pouch to create their own festive and sparkly pictures. Once the children have finished their pictures place a small piece of paper with the child’s name on into one of the corners, close the pouch and place into the cardboard protective sheets, and into the laminator.

Once the pictures have been laminated, childrens’ work can be used to create a bright, festive visual display.

During this activity older children can be encouraged to discuss their creation and their intentions and choices, aswell as becoming familiar with the colours they are using.
