Nursery Activity Ideas - Follow The Leader Group Game

This fun activity is suitable for older children, is very easy to set up and can be used indoors and out.

You will need:

• Masking tape

Activity:

Using the masking tape make a line along the floor with lots of corners and turns for the children to follow.

The first child to follow the path can decide what all the others will do, the first child can run, walk, skip, hop etc along the line whilst the other children follow. Whilst children are doing this encourage them to think of new ways of moving, such as spinning around slowly, crawling, rolling, funny walking or dancing along the line.

This will encourage children to be creative, and realise their own potential and what their bodies are able to do, building upon existing skills and discovering new ones.
