Nursery Activity Ideas - Playdough Cutter Printing

A simple and fun activity that children of all ages will be able to participate in, to create their own pictures or patterns.

You will need:

• Trays of different colour paints
• Paper
• A range of playdough cutters

Activity:

Pour the paint into the trays and allow the children do dip the playdough cutters into the paint and then press them onto the paper to leave a pattern or picture. Older children can use this to create their own pictures by using a range of cutters. This is also a good way for children to learn about colours, mixing colours as well as shapes.

This activity can easily be linked into your rooms topic by limiting the use of cutters, for example only farm animals.
