Nursery Activity Ideas - Making A Rain Cloud Mobile

Can be done by children of all ages, and can be combined with other mobiles to make an effective weather display.

Cut out a large cloud shape out of card, the children can either paint in grey of glue cotton wool onto the cloud. Once this has dried repeat on the other side and attach string or cotton on the top so that it can be hung on the ceiling.

Cut out more card into the shape of raindrops, either paint then blue or use blue glitter or sequins. Again decorating both sides. Once they are all dry, make a small hole into the top of the raindrop and use cotton to attach some raindrops in a line and attach them to the cloud.
