Make A Favourite Food Collage

A simple and fun creative activity for children to display their favourite foods. This activity is more suited for children over the age of two.

You will need:

• Paper plates
• Glue
• Scissors
• A range of collage materials in a variety of colours and textures

Activity:

Place a wide range of collage materials onto the table for the children to choose from. Give each child a paper plate and a pair of scissors. Encourage the children to choose their own materials and cut them to the shapes and sizes they desire, before gluing them onto their paper plate.

As children do this, talk as a group about what they are creating, the colours and shapes they are using and even the textures etc of the materials they have chosen.

Once completed ask the children what food they have made, writing down their answers. Display the paper plates on the wall with the children’s answers underneath, for all to see and enjoy.
