Nursery Activity Ideas - Make An Assault Course

This can be a fun outdoor activity for older children to develop their physical skills and imagination as well as their social skills.

You will need:

• Milk / bottle crates
• Cones
• Balls
• Hoops
• Flags
• Tyres

Activity:

Provide the children with a range of these materials and as a group build a large assault course in the garden. Encourage the children to use the objects in different ways, for example jumping through hoops, waking around the tyres, running around the cones, bouncing or kicking the balls through the flags, walking along a crate snake or even making small steps out of the crates. Allow and encourage children to use their imagination and work together when creating and using the assault course.
