Nursery Activity Ideas - Outdoor Chalk Board
This activity can be set up in the garden to be used by children of all ages.
You will need:
- A large thin piece of smoothe wood in any shape of your choice, the more unusual the more interesting!
- Screws
- Black board paint suitable for use outdoors
- Chalks
Activity:
Screw your pieces of wood onto an outdoor wall in an arrangement that looks most creative, then paint it in the black board paint.
Once dry give the children some chalk and let them doodle! Once the board is full the children can wash it with a sponge, watch the board dry and start again. The children could also draw their pictures and watch the rain wash them away, helping extend their knowledge and understanding.
