Nursery Activity Idea: Ball Catching Parachute Game

A fun and exciting game for older children that can be done indoors or outdoors.

You will need:

• A parachute
• Small plastic balls

Activity:

Unfold the parachute on the floor and place some plastic balls in the centre. The children can hold the handles of the parachute and lift it in the air and back down at the same time. Children can watch the balls being thrown into the air and try catching them back on the parachute. To add more challenge to the activity children can see if they can throw the balls higher, and work together as a team to catch them on the parachute.
