Nursery Activity Idea: Parachute Dash Group Activity

Another enjoyable parachute activity for older children, that can be enjoyed outside or indoors.

You will need:

A parachute

Activity:

All the children stand up holding the edge of the parachute and begin to shake it. When you call out two childrens’ names they must swap places by moving underneath the shaking parachute.

Children could also set themselves a challenge and see how quick they can all swap places for example.

To adapt this game more than two childrens’ names can be called at any one time, making it more challenging. Also children could kneel on the floor while playing, so will have to crawl under the parachute to find a new position.
