Nursery Activity Ideas - Making Magnetic Shape Pictures
This simple, fun creative activity is an enjoyable way for children over the age of two to learn their shapes whilst expressing their imagination and creativity.
You will need:
- Magnetic shapes
- Magnetic boards
Activity:
Give the children the magnetic boards and a choice of shapes. Children can create their own pictures using a range of shapes in different sizes. As children do this they can talk about the shapes they have used, increasing their familiarity with them, and learning new shapes.
During this activity you could also discuss the colour of the shapes they are using.
