Nursery Activity Ideas - “Five Little Ducks” Song Game

More suited for children from two years old, a fun way of learning their numbers.

Fill a water tray with water and place on the floor in the garden. Place five plastic ducks onto the water and begin to sing “Five Little Ducks” as a group, when children sing the line “mummy duck says quack quack quack, and only ? little ducks came back” get one child to run and hide a little duck whilst the other children close their eyes.

At the end of the song when “all five little ducks came back” ask the children who have not had a turn at hiding the ducks to go and find the five ducks and put them back onto the water.
