Nursery Activity Ideas - “Old Mc Donald Had A Farm” Song Masks
This is an activity that older children will enjoy making and using.
Cut out a variety of animal face shapes and allow the children to choose and decorate their own animals. Provide the children with a choice of paint colours, glue and a variety of collage material. Once the masks have been finished and dried, pierce a hole in each side and attach some ribbon or wool to hold the mask on. Alternatively glue a lolly pop stick to the bottom of the mask.
The children can use their masks when they are singing Old Mc Donald to act out the song.

Do this activity with my pre schoolers and they love it. Double up on some animals to ensure everyone has an animal to hold up as they get very upset if they are left out. My pre schoolers are quite young (just gone 3) so are struggling with sharing.
