Nursery Activity Ideas - Make A Car With Sails Group Game

Easy to make and children will have fun racing these cars on a breezy day.

Make and decorate some sails out of paper or materials and glue onto a blunt kebab stick or lollypop stick. Select a toy car and press a ball of playdough onto the roof. Press your sail into the playdough and their ready to play.

Mark, start and finish lines on a concrete floor and race the cars to the finish. If playing indoors wave a book or newspaper behind the car to create the wind it needs to move. With older children you can change the materials used for the sails and experiment to find which sail is best.
