Nursery Activity Ideas - Puddle Hop Group Game

This is a fun physical activity for older children to complete indoors or outdoors.

Cut out large puddle shapes from blue paper. If you do not have blue paper the children could enjoy painting the puddles themselves. If using indoors move back any furniture and using masking tape, tape the puddles randomly to the floor or carpet. There are many possibilities for this activity, children can either move around the room dodging the puddles, only jumping in the puddles, or a variation of musical chairs, where children dodge the puddles and only jump on them when the music stops playing. Children may also enjoy creating their own games to play as a group.

For safety ensure the puddles are taped down securely and that there are enough puddles, one for each child.
