This is a bright and fun way to display children’s birthdays, that can be completed by children of all ages.
You will need:
- Large pieces of plain paper
- A variety of paints
- Large letters spelling happy birthday
Activity:
On the large pieces of paper draw a large steam train, and twelve carriages. As a group the children can paint the train and carriages in their own choice of colours. Write a name of the month on each of the carriages. Next attach the train to the wall and place the happy birthday lettering coming out of the chimney like smoke. Take a picture of each of the children’s faces in the room and stick them onto the carriage windows corresponding to their birthday. Write each child’s name and birthday under their photos, then attach the carriages on the wall in order, behind the train.
