Fork Printing Flowers

This is a lovely bright activity for children about the age of three. These simple flowers are quick and easy to create and would look lovely as part of a Mothers day card or as part of a spring display.

You will need:

  • Paints in a variety of colours
  • Plastic forks
  • Paintbrush
  • Paper

Activity:

Pour the paints onto plates or another shallow container so that the forks can be dipped into the paint easily. To create the flowers children can dip the back of the fork into the paint and then press it onto their paper. Using a fine paintbrush dipped in the green paint they can paint a stem and leaves onto the flowers on the opposite side to the fork prongs.

Lots of these flowers together will look very bright and colourful as part of a spring display. Alternatively print these flowers coming out of a vase or basket for Mothers day cards.
