Making HandPrint Spiders

A simple effective activity that can be enjoyed by children of all ages.

You will need:

  • Paper
  • Black paint
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Googly Eyes

Paint the children’s hands with the black paint and press onto the paper. Once the handprints have dried cut around them and glue them together at the wrists, to finish the spider, glue two googly eyes in the centre. Use the little spiders as part of a wall display or attach to some string and hang from the ceiling.

Older children will be able to cut out the handprints and assemble them themselves, but younger children will need more support.
