This activity is more suitable for older children that can link into a theme based on the book “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”.
You will need:
- Green paper or thin card
- Googly eyes
- Black paper or pipe cleaners
Cut two long strips of green paper and glue two ends together to form an L shape. Once the glue has dried begin to fold the paper one over the other to make an accordion. Once the strips have been folded, glue the ends together. Once all the glue has dried attach googly eyes and draw a face on one end. Next either cut out small strips of black paper or use thin pipe cleaners for antennas, and attach them to the top of the head between the folds of paper.
